The biggest problem with the bible.

I wrote this in a Facebook post, thought it was a good summary and wanted to save it here: The number one issue that I have with the bible, is that it is the worst possible way for a universe-spanning deity to communicate a message that is meant to reach the entire human race.
This is not a new complaint, Thomas Paine mentions something similar in his work, "Age of Reason".
It is not an issue with theology, nor one of hair splitting over errors and contradictions. It is purely one of logistics.
There are humans still to this day that have never heard of a bible, they have no idea about these fanciful stories from the middle east.
Any one of us, alive today with the advantages of the internet, have the ability to mass distribute any message in virtually any language, would still be hard pressed to address every human on the planet. But we would be more effective by far than with a printed book 2K years ago, or 4K years ago counting the OT.
Therefore, a deity that has the ability to see every human being on the globe, and if such a being were truly omniscient and existing throughout time and space, would fully understand the incredible limitations of using a book to try and reach scattered tribes of many languages and cultures.
A truly powerful, wise, all-loving deity would find a better method. A human being, on the other hand, would write a book like the bible, since it was the only thing available to them.
