The Myth of the Tower of Babel.

Another bible story that is completely contradictory to our current knowledge of the world is the story of the Tower of Babel.

We are told that this event takes place after the alleged Flood, approximately 2250 BC.  According to the Bible, all the people of the Earth spoke one language, and were gathered together in a plain.  They came up with a plan to build a tower that would reach heaven, and would be an escape route should a flood threaten the earth again.

News flash, this is absolutely impossible.  Around this same time period, farmers were cultivating maize in Central America, metal tools were beginning to be used in Northern Europe, and Sargon was conquering in Mesopotamia.

We know human language was beginning to evolve into multiple different variants over 100,000 years ago.  It's quite simple to trace the change in human speech and compare it to the course of human migration from Africa into other regions of the world.

This is a fairly recent field of study, and is still largely open to new research.  However, we can state with certainty that humans have had various languages since long before the supposed "Tower of Babel" story ever happened.

This video summarizes these points quite well:
